Rain, sleet & snow Scotland
Scattered showers south

Rain, sleet and snow Scotland and far north England, scattered showers elsewhere

Good morning,

Rain across northern England and southern Scotland this morning. Sleet and snow on the hills. This area of rain, sleet and snow pushes northwards through this morning and then as it passes north into late morning and this afternoon exacerbates the snow problems already affecting the Highland and Grampians. Breezy in central and northern Scotland too and so feeling very cold.

This afternoon sees cloud and rain in Scotland with sleet and snow in the east. Blizzards may affect high ground. Mostly fair across England, Wales and Ireland, although there will be some showers. The showers could be heavy in places, especially central and southern areas, although these should be isolated.

Expect showers in the west tonight, but further snow over the hills of northern Scotland.
