Simon: A line of showers affecting western coasts this morning, but these fading as they move eastwards. Most areas then dry and bright with broken cloud and sunny spells. Simon: Rain in the eastern half of England this morning, slowly clearing east, probably leaving eastern coasts by 3pm. Simon: It's a fine start to Saturday morning over much of the UK. However, cloud, drizzle and some patchy rain already in Ireland will be quickly arriving in west Wales and SW England, then edging slowly north and east during the day. Mild for most. Issued: 15:56hrs Friday 15th March 2024
Filotas: Any remaining rain over south and east England will clear through the evening. Clear periods will follow over most areas along with lighter winds. Thick cloud will arrive over Ireland overnight along with strengthening southwest winds and outbreaks of rain. Minimum temperatures at -1C in north with frost, but 6C in south. Filotas: A cloudy and wet start for Scotland with outbreaks of rain, and snow over the Highlands. This will become more light and patchy through the morning and will gradually clear through the afternoon with brightness developing later from the west. Elsewhere a rather cloudy start with outbreaks of rain or drizzle mostly over England and Wales, while Ireland will see some early rain followed by brightness and sunny spells.
